Bored? Nothing to do? – Or limited money to do it with? How you choose to spend your spare time is really up to you – some people just like to relax and chill out, whilst others appear to be always out and about or involved in something.

Whatever your interests, below are a few ideas to get you started.

CYPS Youth Workers organise a number of activities for young people aged 11-25 in the Wigan area. These activities include: ice skating, rock climbing, kayaking, wind sailing, abseiling, arts projects, media projects etc. All activities aim to be challenging, developmental and enjoyable.

There are also a number of youth groups that offer support and advice to specific groups of young people for example:

Rafiki Motswako is a social and educational group for Black and minority ethnic (BME) young people aged 13 - 19 years from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds, cultures and religions. The group provides support for young people in tackling issues at school, college, work and in the community. For more information, please ring: 01942 705398

B-You - a project for young people who are gay, lesbian or bisexual which offers support and advice, safe meeting places, fun and activities.
